Wayne Dalton 339621 adjustable operator bracket for 9100 and 9600 doors. Adjustable design works with all section heights. Replaces Wayne Dalton part number 326211.
Technical: Manufactured with durable,16 gauge, zinc plated steel, for corrosion resistance & appearance. Adjustable, telescoping design, to work with all Wayne Dalton residential, doors that utilize an integral strut in the door section. Expands from 14" to 19" in small increments to fit tightly between the integral door struts.
How to Install an Adjustable Operator Garage Door Bracket
The first thing that you will need to do is locate and set aside all the tools that will be required:
- Power Drill
- 7/16” Socket Driver
- 7/16” Wrench
- Flat Head
Screwdriver
- Step ladder
- Tape Measure
- Pencil
IMPORTANT!
WHEN CONNECTING A TROLLEY TYPE GARAGE
DOOR OPENER TO THE DOOR, AN OPENER/
TROLLEY BRACKET MUST BE SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE TOP
SECTION OF THE DOOR, ALONG WITH ANY U-BARS PROVIDED
WITH THE DOOR. THE INSTALLATION OF THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER MUST BE
ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER’S INSTRUCTIONS AND FORCE
SETTINGS MUST BE ADJUSTED PROPERLY.
- Position the trolley arm hookup inside the top portion of the top
halve and flush against the back of the top halve. Adjust the top
holes in the trolley arm hookup with the two upper holes in the
top halve.
- Fasten both the trolley arm hookup and top halve together with
(2) 1/4” - 20 x 9/16” track bolts and (2) 1/4” - 20 flange hex
nuts.
- Place the bottom halve inside the top halve and flush against
the inside of the top section. Adjust the both the top and bottom
halves out against the top and bottom rib of top section.
- Loosely fasten both halves together with (4) 1/4” - 20 x 9/16”
track bolts and (4) 1/4” - 20 flange hex nuts.
NOTE:
Install the 1/4” - 20 x 9/16” track bolts and the 1/4” - 20
flange hex nuts as far apart as possible, when positioning the
top and bottom halves together. Also, for retro fit applications, the adjustable operator bracket
must be aligned with an existing operator.
- Locate the center of the top section and align the center of
the holes in the adjustable operator bracket assembly with the
top section center line. Align the adjustable operator bracket assembly vertically.
- First,
secure the back of the adjustable operator bracket assembly to the section
surface with (2) 1/4” -20 x 11/16” self drilling screws.
- Secure the adjustable operator bracket assembly to the top and bottom ribs of the
section with (8) 1/4” -20 x 11/16” self drilling screws.
- Now tighten all previously
installed 1/4” - 20 x 9/16” track bolts and 1/4” - 20 flange hex nuts.
