The Stanley 1050 one button visor remote is designed for automatic garage door and gate openers. This remote is a single-channel device. By pressing the push button it will send a signal to the receiver to activate the motor unit cycle. The remote has a red operate/test indicator. This Stanley 1050 remote is also compatible with 310MHz Stanley garage door opener receivers.

Programming Instructions for Stanley Model 1050 Remote Transmitter

The Stanley 1050 remote/transmitter utilizes a bank of 10 positional digital code switches. These switches are accessed by removing 
one side of the transmitter by squeezing the top and bottom together and pulling the side off.  You can also use a coin to pry the side 
off. The positions of the switches should match the positions of the switches on the garage door opener (these can be accessed on 
the back or the side of the opener). 

Any combination of ON(CLOSED) or OFF(OPEN) can be used.  It is highly recommended that you avoid using using all ON or all OFF. 
Note:  The factory code settings consist of the following: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 ON; 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 OFF.  THESE CODE SETTINGS SHOULD BE 
AVOIDED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES.  If you are using a garage door opener that utilizes code wires, you must first set all switches 
to the OFF(OPEN) position and then change whichever numbers that have intact wires to the ON(CLOSED) position. 

If these instructions will not activate your 1050 remote transmitter, then try reversing all the switch positions.
