Stanley®Multi-Code®
4200/24718/2986 Keypad Programming Instructions
1. Remove Battery – Press down and hold any 2 numbers on the keypad
for approximately 30 seconds.
2. Re-install Battery – You will see that the back of each button
is lit with a very faint red light. Wait for these lights to go
off after each of the following steps.
3. Look at your remote/transmitter (or the back of
the garage door opener) and write down the code. You will have a set of 10
dip switches or 5 jumper wires. The important switches are the
ones in the “ON” or “CLOSED” setting. The garage door opener switches
that are important are those that are pushed down toward the left.
(Note: If you have an older garage door opener the important wires are the ones that
are NOT cut)
4. Next, press the “Radio Learn” button twice, and a red LED light will
come on at the top of the keypad. Then press 1, 2, 3, 4 and then
the code of your transmitter or garage door opener that you wrote down in
the previous step (e.g.,: 1, 3, 5, 7, 0) (Dip switch or jumper
wire number 10 is 0 on the keypad) (For a garage door opener with jumper
wires, if #2 is cut, then your code is 4, 6, 8, 0) and then press
"Radio Learn" ONCE and the red LED light on the top of the keypad
will go out.
5. Wait for the lights behind the numbers on the keypad to go out.
6. Press the “Access Learn” button TWICE, the LED light at the top
of the keypad will come on again. Then press 1,2,3,4 and any 4
digit code (your secret PIN #) you choose, then press “Access
Learn” ONCE, and the LED light will go out again.
7. Wait for the lights to go out in the back of the numbers.
8. Now enter your 4 digit code and the garage door opener should
